Staff Accountant
Position summary.
Due to the continuing growth, Nidecker Group is looking for a Staff Accountant to complete our subsidiary team in Truckee, California.

As Staff Accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming compliance through preparation of the company’s reports and statements. You will perform monthly and quarterly closes and work with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the financial records.
Wat we are looking for:
· Oversee the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, cash mgmt/recon, financial reporting and balance sheet mgmt.
· Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that inventory, case, company assets and payroll records are protected.
· Responsible for proper timing and application of revenue recognition. Involves significant interaction with Sales and Customer Service teams.
· Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies in physical and electronic form.
· Responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly/annual account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance.
· Maintain a quarterly reporting package for consolidation purpose and bank requirements.
· Ensures that the ERP system continues to operate as required. Involved in validation/designing suggested changes to ensure accounting requirements continue to be met.
· Coordinates work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records. Is also responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from audit findings
What you should bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience)
- At least 1 year of of Public Accounting and/or 2-3 years Private Industry accounting experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
- Inventory and COGS experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong mathematical, accounting, and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of the Netsuite ERP System a plus
