We are seeking an experienced or highly skilled Field Service Technician to work out of our Canada office in Laval. A Field Service Technician requires good electromechanical, pneumatic, and customer service skills. The requirements below are only a representation of the work environment, knowledge, skills, and abilities required or preferred.

What the Field Service Technician will do:

  • Confirm, schedule, and perform all preventive maintenance and repair services on customer machinery within the assigned territory
  • Troubleshoot over the phone to resolve problems and travel to customer machines for repairs as needed with the use of a company vehicle
  • Coordinate and assist with new machine deliveries including completing new machine installations and providing complete training to operators on machinery
  • Utilize electrical, pneumatic, and machine parts diagrams to find part numbers and determine the correct machine assembly and operation
  • Rebuild, test run, and possibly package used machinery that has been taken in as trade-in and resold to a different customer
  • Complete service notification reports to accurately record time, inventory, and billing information
  • Manage personal inventory of spare parts and tools that are required to perform service
  • Be available to assist with sales demonstrations to customers if needed
  • Overnight travel may be necessary

What you will need:

  • Ski shop/ski repair experience required
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Well-organized and flexible
  • Heavy equipment repair and/or electrical systems installation/repair experience a plus
  • Able to troubleshoot individually and in a small group
  • Basic computer literacy required
  • Knowledge with Outlook and Excel is required
  • Experience using SAP a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • High school diploma
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Familiar with traveling for several days at a time
