Job Description:


The independent sale representative for SITKA® Gear will be responsible for all sales activities in the assigned territory.  This includes, but is not limited to sell in, sell through, staff education, merchandising, order collections, account maintenance and primary contact for retail stakeholders. 

We are looking for someone that lives the brand and can share that passion with our brick & mortar retailers and help them gain success with our brand. Strong business acumen is the cornerstone to helping our retailers continue to grow in an ever-changing retail landscape.  A trusted partner is key.


Responsibilities: 

  • Delivering quarterly & annual sales forecasts
  • Maintain consistent contact with all clients in the territory to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Monthly key account visits with high emphasis on service, merchandising & replenishment
  • Ensure visual merchandising is aligned with SITKA corporate standards
  • Educate staff on brand vision, technologies, and products
  • Develop strong professional relationships with retail store owners/buyers and management
  • Actively participate in local, regional, and national industry-related events
  • Responsible for maintaining sales samples
  • Provide feedback from the field on marketplace and competitive landscape
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
  • Develop relationships with brand ambassadors and major influencers within their specific industry
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments within SITKA® Gear

 


Requirements:
 

  • A total of 5+ years in the hunting industry
  • Live in assigned sales territory or bordering state
  • Strong knowledge of outdoor and hunting apparel (garments, footwear, accessories, etc.)
  • Experience with B2B ordering systems (Elastic, NuOrder, etc.)
  • Experience managing futures/pre-book programs
  • Proven track record of growing accounts/territory in alignment with the brand’s commercial strategies, sell-through goals, etc.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing account level sales and inventory reports and utilizing the data to generate at once business
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Insured vehicle to support travel, department calls and presentations and sales within sales territory
  • Computer, tablet, or smart phone with access to internet
  • Consistent travel within assigned territory
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Proven track record set and achieve goals and objectives
