Product Analyst: Fly Fishing
Are you highly knowledgeable about fly fishing equipment? Can you recognize a Winston or Hardy rod at 50 paces? Can you recommend a good line by grain weight for a #6 spey rod? Can you help a buyer choose a good rod, reel, and line for bonefish as well as browns?
Compatio has an opening for a part-time, contract position for a Product Analyst, covering fly fishing equipment. You will work with Compatio's product taxonomists to document product features and help build our knowledge base of fly fishing and related gear.
This is very detail-oriented work that requires accuracy and good communications skills, both written and verbal. Skill with spreadsheets and light data processing is extremely helpful. Ability to research products and find product specifications that might be obscure, by working industry contacts and/or web searches, is required. Deep knowledge of fly fishing equipment - the top brands, most popular models, and how products are used for a variety of species, locations, water conditions, seasons, weather, etc is mandatory.
= You must have professional experience directly related to fly fishing, either in sales, as a guide, as a manufacturer, etc.
= Education: 2-year degree is a minimum requirement, or equivalent work experience
