Company Description
Dainese began in Molvena, Italy in 1972 by Lino Dainese taking inspiration from the geometry of medieval armor and from nature itself, Dainese made technological innovation for sports protection his true mission. To Dainese safety means protection, comfort and reliability, factors which, when properly balanced, lead to the creation of highly effective products which meet the requirements of a wide range of customer needs
. Research, development and competition are therefore the essence of a journey that began more than forty years ago. From Giacomo Agostini to Valentino Rossi, Dainese’s motorcycling heritage is strong thanks to its invention of products like D-air®, back protectors, knee sliders as well as the evolution of existing products with the introduction of innovative technologies and materials. With the concept of “head to toe” protection in mind, Dainese entered the bike and snow market in 1992 with the “no Impact” division, developing and evolving safety and protection product with some of the world’s premiere athletes.
Dainese in 2015 is considered the preeminent producer of safety, protection, apparel and gear for motorcycle, mountain bike and winter-sport. The company that invented the back protector in 1981 is yet again re-defining safety with D-Air® the “intelligent” air bag technology for rider protection used in MotoGP and World Cup Ski Racing.
