THE TRAILHEAD is Central Colorado's premier outdoor specialty retailer, and also the oldest. Founded in 1972 by Jan and Dick Scar, THE TRAILHEAD was purchased in 2004 by Keith & Evelyn Baker. THE TRAILHEAD offers apparel, footwear, gear, and accessories for hiking, climbing, cycling, Nordic skiing & snowshoeing, and adventure travel - sales, service, and rentals. THE TRAILHEAD leads the industry among shops of it's size in employee policies, environmental protection, and customer service. THE TRAILHEAD is a member of the Outdoor Industry Association, the National Bicycle Dealers Association, and the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce.
