Company Description

Mt. Hood Meadows operates on a special use permit in the Mt. Hood National Forest, offering some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding in the Northwest. The resort is just 67 miles from Portland, and it delivers a big mountain experience you'd expect to travel much farther to enjoy. The resort sprawls across Mt. Hood's southeast flank: the sunny side of Mt. Hood. Meadows' terrain welcomes and challenges all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

The variety of terrain at Meadows is what makes it so unique and popular. The wide-open terrain off Cascade Express offers incredible panoramic views of the Cascade Range from its 7,300-foot elevation. Advanced skiers and snowboarders seek out the steeps in the front bowls, or drop into the seemingly endless pitch of powder-filled Heather Canyon. Explore the double black trails, gladed tree runs and cliffs through access gates into Private Reserve and S&R Cliffs. There's an additional 1,700 vertical feet for hikers who want to drop into the double blacks of Super Bowl above Heather, to bring the total vertical limit available in just one run to almost 4,500 feet. Beginners learn on the gentle slopes of Buttercup and the Ballroom Carpet. Meadows is known for having some of the best terrain in the Northwest.

The Northwest's most advanced fleet of grooming machines assures surface conditions are optimal. This specialized equipment and a creative crew also design and maintain up to six terrain parks, including an in-ground Half Pipe.

Meadows has introduced the sports of skiing and snowboarding to more Oregonians than any other ski resort. With a separate “fun zone” supported by on-the-snow conveyors, beginners learn technique and how to have fun fast. Affordable Learn to Ski and Snowboard Packages are available, and the PSIA-certified Meadows Learning Center offers private and group lessons daily. There's also a certified Daycare Center for ages 6 weeks to 11 years.

Our restaurants and bars serve up a range of tantalizing cuisine, and Outer Limits Sports and the High Performance Center sport shops offer a wide selection of alpine and snowboard hard goods, equipment, clothing and accessories.

Mt. Hood Meadows is a place to rest and get away, a place filled with adventure and epic powder days, a place to create memories with friends and family, a place to learn something new, and a place called "home" by many. We can't wait for you to recreate with us at Your Mountain Home!
