The Supply Chain and Inventory Manager is critical to the success of GRAYL. They ensure that our products are consistently available to our customers across our four channels: Web, Amazon, US Wholesale and International. They are critical thinkers, exceptional problem solvers, highly analytical and organized. They also possess the ability to foster strong and respectful relationships with factories, 3PLs and key GRAYL partners across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain / Inbound Logistics & US 3PL Inventory Management / International Order Management

  • Procurement

    • Purchase Order development for finished manufactured goods based on demand planning and inventory analysis across multiple distribution channels - Web, Amazon, International and US Wholesale.

    • With excellent attention to detail and super responsiveness, communicate Purchase Orders and specific order details to GRAYL’s overseas factories.

    • Work daily within supply chain software and partner factories to manage the production details, timelines and movement of product across multiple factories, to domestic 3PLs or to our International Distribution Partners.

    • Responsive communication with overseas factories on production details and updates in weekly team meetings.

    • Coordinate with the Product Team to manage movement of pre-production samples, running changes, and/or product variations/test samples.

  • Logistics

    • Coordinate full container, LCL and air shipments from China to USA or international distribution partners.

    • Special international orders - Coordinate shipments from USA outbound to international partners.

    • Work directly with freight forwarding companies and factories to secure best pricing, scheduling and bookings for GRAYL products.

    • Manage multiple shipping accounts, gathering quotes and ensuring best rates/carrier options for shipments.

    • Coordinate all product BOM’s/Weight/Dims and develop CBMs for shipping options via freight calculators and shipping software.

    • Manage receiving of new product at GRAYL 3PL while closing out invoicing and coordinating with accounting to arrange payment

    • Oversee receipt of new products and ensure invoices are accurately represented across inventory software platforms, CIN7, QBO, and 3PL.

  • International Order handling 

    • Work with the Director of International Sales to support the growth plans of GRAYL’s global distribution partners, while in accordance with current production timelines.

    • Work with GRAYL factories and international freight forwarders to manage international orders shipping direct from factories.

    • Manage all current international orders shipping from Dockhigh

  • Inventory Management

    • Inventory management with CIN7 and 3PL software order to support our website, Amazon, international and wholesale channels.

    • Manage all product movements from US-based 3PL to International partners.

    • Accurately track all inventory, in factory, on-the-water, domestic 3PL, Amazon and in the office while improving on existing systems and processes.

    • Manage Inventory, sales forecasting and demand planning for all GRAYL products across all sales channels

  • Demand Planning

    • Own, maintain and develop new demand planning tools, forecasts and models that help GRAYL accurately and efficiently maintain inventory KPIs.

    • Strategize with Directors of US and International sales, DTC Managers and Production Managers to review past sales while extrapolating future trends

    • Develop and implement new tools that provide more sophisticated modeling and forecasting as GRAYL expands SKU offerings.

Ideal Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Be a genuine, positive communicator, empathetic, honorable, self-aware, leader, and a dependable  team player.

  • Required: 5+ years working in a Supply Chain and Inventory Management

  • Preferred: 3+ years experience (outdoor industry/adventure travel preferred or similar field)

  • Skills in Cin7 are a plus (PO creation, receiving, monthly closings and invoice management).

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office (with strong grasp of Excel). 

  • Proficiency with messaging, WeChat or other communication apps. 

  • Possess strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to deliver clarity on complex topics to non-native english speakers.

  • Stay calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Possess great organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

  • Excellent follow through and tenacious ability to follow up and solve problems.

  • Be awesome to work with.


Key Functions:

  • Must live in a location that can leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

  • Be willing to work flex and off hours. GRAYL works with factories in Asia, requiring some meetings to take place early mornings or late evenings with occasional flexible weekend work required. 

  • Prefer but don’t require candidates that live near Seattle, WA and be able to commute to and from office locations as needed.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

  • Ability to work on a computer, tablet, and/or phone up to 6-9 hours per day.
