Job Description & Requirements


The Recruiting Coordinator at the Whitewater Center (USNWC) is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and hiring of hourly employees. This individual must be a self-starter with a professional attitude and demeanor.  The ability to work independently is critical to success. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring seasonal/part-time employees
  • Sources and attends recruiting events throughout the region
  • Works closely with Human Resources and department heads to ensure job postings are refreshed and up to date
  • Meets set hiring and staffing goals set forth by the Director of Operations
  • Tracks candidate's status throughout the recruiting life cycle
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with external recruiting vendors including agencies, universities, and community partners
  • Ability to develop an extensive understanding of all seasonal and part-time roles at the Whitewater Center
  • Aids in the planning and development of job fairs (on-site, off-site, and virtually)
  • Actively engages in special projects and ability to aid in operational duties as needed
  • Aids in the pre-boarding process for salaried new hires
  • Aids in the scheduling and tracking of salaried applicants with direction from the Director of Operations
  • Develops and manages employee orientations and continued overarching employee development series
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent leadership and management, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Advanced ability in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Maintain availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with frequency
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruiting events
