Position Description


The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) position is responsible for driving, leading, and supporting our sales actions and objectives. The primary objective and task of the ISR will be communicating over phone, email and via our ticketing system to drive sales and support to the dealer channel. The ISR may also be responsible for growing a target list of accounts in line with overall company financial goals. This position will collaborate with Yuba’s team of Independent Sales Representatives, and the Director of Sales and Marketing to come up with and implement sales initiatives for the specific regions. This position will provide tactical support for dealers and outside territory reps in your assigned region. The ISR will also provide support to direct-to-consumer customers as needed to help facilitate a positive brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate sales growth working with dealers, independent sales representatives and the Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Manage fluctuating workflow within assigned territory

  • Ensure that territory accounts in the CRM database are accurate and up to date on a monthly basis.

  • Maintain expected daily outbound calls (10+) to authorized retailers in your territory to generate new sales in both hard goods and soft goods for the territory.

  • Place orders from incoming retailer communications via phone/email

  • Meet the monthly sales forecast

  • Build strong business partnerships with the retailers and the independent sales representative

  • Ability to come up with ideas for promotions from conception to implementation with the Director of Sales

  • Promptly address retailers issues in a timely fashion

  • Ability to be creative in solutions beyond his/her own area of responsibility

  • Take the market feedback from retailers and reps in your territory and deliver feedback and possible solutions to the Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Has a keen understanding of both current and future business goals and is able to make a decision that is right for the customer and for the business

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Has experience in phone sales (preferably in the bicycle industry)

  • Able to meet or exceed the monthly sales forecast goals

  • Build strong business partnerships with the retailers and the independent outside sales representatives

  • Ability to come up with ideas for promotions from conception to implementation with Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Promptly address retailer issues in a timely fashion 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills are necessary

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively

  • Ability to communicate and overcome barriers while meeting deadlines

Other

  • Participate in developing and achieving departmental and corporate goals, objectives, and systems

  • May be asked to travel to 6-8 events to strengthen the relationship with the rep and the retailers

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Strongly prefer 3-5 years’ experience in the bicycle industry and customer service

  • Proactive, Self-Motivated, problem solver

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Chat, Meet, Calendar; Drive for storage; Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, and stellar Customer Service skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation & Benefits:

$45-60k per year, plus commission of up to 10% of annual salary.
