Job Description & Requirements

Position Summary 

Support the VP of Product & Brand in improving existing product's marketing campaigns or developing new products and marketing strategies for the Company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

=         Assist in the maintenance of the product line, including part number information, preliminary forecasting, cost targets and key features/benefits as well as maintaining product support parts line, including part number definition, forecasting and internal training.

=         Ability to create and manage a product development budget and provide analysis to objectively determine financial viability and/or success of a product.

=         Help to oversee the design, manufacture, and marketing of new product including defining product marketing communication objectives and developing sales tools and collateral.

=         Support and adjust sourcing strategy to align goals for assigned categories.

=         Based on cost and competitor analysis, recommend pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals

  • Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

=         Perform market research sales analysis to generate data and insight.

=         Work with external third parties to assess partnership and collaboration opportunities

=         Travel to tradeshows, material shows, dealers and partner to track market trends.

=         Write technical documents and video scripts to improve the consumer experience

=         Communicate and collaborate with all departmental stakeholders to outline product features, benefits, PODs, and to establish cohesive product launch and communication strategies

 

Education/Qualifications/Experience

=         High school diploma or GED.

=         2 years of product management experience, preferably in the cycling/outdoor/action sports industry

=         Experience managing product lines, preferably through a PLM system

=         Experience with market research and the ability to determine what market needs and demands exist

=         Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical audiences. Must have a demonstrated work history of successful team collaboration

=         Must display strong organizational skills, be able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities in a focused but flexible manner.

=         Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

=         SAP or similar ERP experience.

=         Professional media training.

Physical Environment/Working Conditions

=         Must be able to work in office and outdoor environments.

=         Maybe required to work extended hours.

=         May be required to travel ~20-30% of the time. Must be able to travel by car and air.
