Job Description & Requirements
Duties:
Sales & Customer Experience
o Listen to and identify customers’ needs and provide exceptional shopping experience
o Sell products that fits the customers’ intended use, abilities, and tastes
o Sell accessories that will enhance the customers’ outdoor experience
o Get to know our local, repeat customers and understand their needs.
Store presentation and Operations
o Maintain store appearance standards (folding, straightening, organizing, cleaning, displaying)
o Learn and develop an understanding of all store policies and procedures
o Product stocking
o Cleaning and organizing the back stock and employee areas on a daily basis
o Build purchase orders, receive and check in product
Commitment
o Our staff are expected to commit to a changing schedule for the entire winter or summer season

Required Personal Characteristics and Skills
o Enjoy working with and for a small family-oriented team
o Self starter that can take initiative and be ready to take direction
o Be excited to try and learn new things
o Have excellent communication Skills
o Demonstrate close attention to detail and manage time effectively
o Have the energy to work effectively on our often busy sales floor
o Ability to multi-task
o Passionate about outdoor sports and activities (skiing, biking, climbing, hiking, etc)
Preferred Personal Characteristics and Skills
o Prior experience in retail sales (ideally in the outdoor industry)
o Ski boot fitting experience
o Outdoor certifications (NOLS, Outward Bound, AAIRE, etc)
