The National Ski Patrol (NSP), founded in 1938, has followed its creed of “Service and Safety” since the establishment of skiing as a popular sport in the United States. As the leading authority of on-mountain safety, the NSP is dedicated to serving the outdoor recreation industry by providing education and accreditation to emergency care and safety service providers.
Objective:
The Registration Specialist is responsible for managing the registration process for NSP members (Patrollers, Candidates, Physician Partners, Associates, and Hosts). This process includes: communicating directly with patrol directors and reps, processing invoices and payments for patrols and members, setting timelines, and developing communication aids to inform members about registration processes. The Registration Specialist is a full-time seasonal job (~40 hours/week September – February and ~32 hours/week March – August.).
Responsibilities:
Patrol Registration
-
Answer
member questions related to registration
-
Coordinate
Patrol and Host roster updates
-
Create
invoices for group fees and bulk payments
-
Receive
and process check payments for dues and courses
-
Process
refunds for dues and course fees
-
Manage
annual registration timeline
-
Create
and update registration documents and accounts for new members and patrol units
-
Manage
member communications explaining the registration process
-
Run
ad hoc member and financial query reports
-
Team
with other office colleagues on process improvements
Member Services Support:

Communicate
how to join as a new Candidate/Host Member/Associate
=
Update
the database for changes in leadership data
=
Reset
passwords and resend membership cards
=
Resolve
member data disputes
=
Manage
the international Exchange Visitor Program which brings international
patrollers to patrol in the U.S.
=
Youth
Safety Committee Liaison; upload youth safety training spreadsheets
= Special and seasonal projects as assigned
Skills & Abilities:

Proficient
using the Microsoft Office suite and working with data sets

Positive
attitude with a willingness to take on special projects
Requirements:

Minimum two years’ experience performing data entry tasks
-
Associates
Degree in accounting, business administration, or commensurate work experience

Advanced
Excel and general computer skills

Knowledge
of membership databases with iMIS experience a plus

Passion
for and knowledge of the outdoor industry, preferably ski/snowboard and
mountain bike

Compensation:
