Job Description & Requirements

GRIT is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Freedom Chair production team. The product uses many standard bicycle components and requires basic hand tools for assembly. Somebody who has exerience working or tinkering on bikes would be well suited. You will be trained by and report to the Production Manager. This is a full time salaried position.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assist with assembling Freedom Chairs correctly, safely, and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. This includes: 
  • Processing incoming inventor
  • Quality inspections
  • Building sub-assemblies
  • Allocating components for orders
  • Assisting with final assembly and packaging for shipment
Qualifications
  • Experience building mechanical items, preferably bikes
  • Comfortable using hand tools
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and take direction well
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • This position may require frequent or prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and/or lifting up to 50lbs.

Compensation: Full-time salaried position, $35k-$40k/year, commensurate with experience.
