The Planner I is responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of the operational information and tools critical to the success of Simms’ Planning organization. Through immersion in the foundational operational infrastructure of the company, the individual plays critical support roles in inventory planning, operational data maintenance, purchasing & supply chain, and business analytics. Key responsibilities include facilitating inventory and supply chain planning reviews, capacity planning and purchase order communication with external vendors, and ad-hoc business issue resolution within the Planning & Purchasing team.
The individual in this role executes these responsibilities with strong attention to detail, sound operational and mathematical acumen, and effective communication with global vendors and internal stakeholders. He/She also manages close relationships with the Operations and Product teams, maintains the curiosity required to identify and drive process improvements, and has a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Navision, and other key infrastructure.

Successful Candidates Should Possess:
=Adept in Microsoft Excel.

= 0 – 2 years of relevant experience.
= Strong academic track record, including a bachelor’s degree and coursework that is relevant to this role.
= Previous industry experience, specifically in a planning related function, is a plus.
= Previous experience with Adobe Illustrator, ERP systems and PLM software is a plus.
