Customer Service Representative

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Type of Position: Full-time Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday with occasional required overtime
Reports to: Customer Service Manager, North America
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

As our most-valuable point of contact for our customers, your manner, efficiency, and service skills set the tone for our business interactions. You are adept at working with computers and handle data in insightful and efficient ways. You are engaged with brand activities and administration, and you communicate with our sales team, back office, and customers to create a first-in-class experience with our brands. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with consumers, retailers, and independent sales representatives.
  • Be knowledgeable regarding our product range and services to assist retailer and consumer inquiries.
  • Maintain an active presence in the phone queue during business hours.
  • Answer customer and consumer inquiries by telephone and email.
  • Ensure timely and accurate input of customer orders.
  • Help our customers with the tracking of shipments, ensuring they have deliveries on time, or in the event of delay they have information on which to plan for their business.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers and present special offers or re-order opportunities when possible.
  • Assist with packing and shipping of sales samples.
  • Attend seasonal, local tradeshows. Assist with setup and breakdown of the tradeshow booth.
  • Meet, greet, and attend to the general needs of tradeshow attendees that approach our booth.
  • Lift boxes from floor and shelves and transport them to the local shipping facility.
  • Support our drive to have the best possible customer service and highest brand image.

You work closely with:

North American Sales and Marketing teams; Global Brand Managers, Logistics, E-Commerce, and IT teams based in the UK.

Job Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of email, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Able to type 40 wpm.
  • Exemplary problem-solving and de-escalation abilities.
  • Pro-active with a 'can do' attitude. 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • A warm, vibrant personality to make customer feel valued and at ease. 
  • Proud of your attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years experience working in a call center environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. This position requires lifting items of up to 50 pounds. Also requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Noise level is standard of an office role.
