Job Description & Requirements

 

Evergreen Mountain Sports located in Conifer, Colorado is seeking a qualified bike tech/mechanic to join our team.  We are a "smaller" but quickly growing ski/bike shop that currently has 2 awesome, dedicated, and passionate bike department employees and we are looking to add another asap.  

We live and ride in the community and strive to provide our customers with the best possible experience regardless of skill level, budget, or experience.  We offer competitive pay, employee purchase programs, demo bike use, and a few other perks as well.  

The position we are currently looking to fill will be full time and will focus on service writing, bicycle repairs, builds, and of course customer service.  We are looking for someone with experience in a bike shop, schooling, or at least extensive experience repairing other peoples bikes and with a great attention to detail.  While we are always willing to train and help good people succeed in this industry we do need this person to have some prior experience and at least be able to build a bike out of the box without supervision. In addition to a full service Bike Shop, we are a year round multi sport outdoor shop so there is potential for this to be a full time year round position if you have experience with or are willing to learn about ski/snowboard service and product.  

Primary responsibilities will include: 

•             Repairing/servicing bicycles of all kinds (75% mountain bikes) - main focus of position
•             Writing service tickets using Lightspeed POS system
•             New bicycle builds
•             Assisting customers with bicycle rentals
•             Customer service and bicycle sales as needed
•             Cleaning and maintaining service department 
•             Leading occasional group rides if you feel comfortable doing so
•             Miscellaneous other retail shop tasks

Job Requirements:

•             Experience servicing bicycles in a shop or team setting (at least one season)
•             Excellent communication skills
