The Great Outdoor Shop in Pinedale, Wyoming is seeking fun, motivated folks to join our crew for the upcoming summer season.
We have been inspiring adventurers everywhere since 1976-pick your passion and follow it West.
The right candidate(s) are experienced in the area(s) of fly fishing, backpacking, climbing, etc. and will be able to enthusiastically and effectively assist customers in an upbeat, friendly retail setting. Applicants with specialty outdoor retail sales experience and knowledge of outdoor products will be primarily considered.
Some employees at the Great Outdoor Shop are eligible for free housing. Our flexible schedule accommodates 3-day weekends for each employee, providing ample time to explore our backyard mountain range. Applicants who are self-motivated adventurers, and who are dedicated to exploring the area on their days off will be considered over others.
To keep you inspired, The Winds alone claim 19 of Wyoming's 20 highest peaks, with Gannett Peak topping the list at 13,804 feet above sea level. There are more than 400,000 acres of Federally-designated Wilderness, over 180 active glaciers (including the largest glacier in the American Rockies), and over 3,000 alpine lakes accessible by 9 different trailheads within close proximity to town. Pinedale is Wyoming's first Gateway Community to the Continental Divide Trail. Each summer we host the Wind River Mountain Festival, and the Surly Pika Adventure Race. Each winter, we host The Drift, a winter race series, which includes the highest elevation winter ultramarathon in the United States.
