Job Description & Requirements
The primary responsibility of the person in this position will be to focus on the day-to-day activities of customers and sales reps, oversee and implement sales conferences, trade shows, programs/projects, manage retail fixtures and planograms, and to develop and improve upon existing sales practices with the end goal of maximizing sales.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Sales Reps, Retailers, Dealerships, plants, buying groups and other licensees
- Work with all internal departments (including but not limited to Design & Development, Marketing, Customer Service, Accounting and Warehouse) to achieve North American sales goals
- Manage, coordinate, and implement sales strategies and projects for key and major accounts
- Work with regional managers to develop and implement account planning for rank-and-file retail accounts
- Work with and communicate all promotions, projects and pricing to Design & Development, Operations, IT, Accounting, Marketing, Customer Service and the Warehouse
- Oversee planning and implementation of North American trade shows and sales conferences
- Maximize and leverage corporate investments in trade shows and buying groups
- Oversee fixture and merchandising programs (tracking and inventory management)
- Interface with Marketing on North American sales programs
- Create, supervise and administer the process for providing retailers with marketing and fixture/merchandising support and ensuring compliance requirements are accommodated
- Create and manage a budget in order to accomplish sales/marketing goals.
- Oversee and track retail sponsorships, co-op and merchandising
- Support sales/field representatives to build brand awareness, loyalty and create awareness with retailers in local markets
- Serve as internal sales support to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and goals
- Minor travel in support of sales or training meetings, customer site visits, and/or trade shows as required or requested
- Work with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to project monthly shipments and ensure projections are met
Requirements:
- College degree required
- 3-5 Years marketing, project management and/or sales experience. Apparel or footwear industry experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint…)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to creatively approach tasks and projects
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Some travel required
