Job Title: IT Network Manager
Department: IT

Job purpose The Network Manager directs and coordinates network and computerized management information systems and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation.
2. Maintains network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring.
3. Works with consultants to ensure that the computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
4. Coordinates with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements.
5. Ability to create custom reports, in NetSuite, when requested by departments.
6. Evaluates network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations.
7. Checks systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.
8. Establishes budgetary requirements for equipment replacement. 9. Establishes and controls systems access and security.
9. Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage.
10. Monitors and maintains network stability, collects and analyzes network and memory utilization, and installs and tests software upgrades.
11. Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.
12. Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services.
13. Develops or establishes strong relationships with service providers.
14. Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
15. Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
16. Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.
17. Trains users in the operations of office productivity applications.

Qualifications

Required:

1. Minimum of two years of experience as Network Manager  
2. Minimum of two years of experience writing custom reports
3. EDI experience 4. Problem solving/analysis
4. Communication proficiency
5. Leadership skills
6. Decision making skills
7. Organization skills
8. Results driven

Preferred:

1. Experience with NetSuite
