Tonto National Forest (near Mesa AZ)
Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is located only 45 minutes east of Phoenix in the Sonora Desert of the Tonto National Forest. Operating since 1930 the ranch is unique in its hospitality with lodging & meals, exclusive corporate team building/training events, private family reunions or school tour groups with on & offsite recreational activities

Now hiring an Outdoor Recreational Management / Operations Assistant:
Positive, professional outdoor career oriented person with great guest service skills. We are looking for someone to promote, coordinate and lead a variety of activities at the ranch. Must have rafting guide experience.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Guide and/or Coordinate - Kayaking/Rafting/Tubing activities on Lower Salt River (or Saguaro Lake depending on river flow) during Spring and Summer Season
- Directing and assisting guests with making activity reservations
- Multi-task between landscaping and light maintenance of cabins
- Effectively communicates with other ranch departments regarding ranch guests, group functions and special events keeping departments aware of any special needs or changes well in advance of the guests needs
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Complete reservations for activities/lodging/dining guests
- Perform various administrative tasks to maintain daily operations
- Be a Team Player - help other team members as needed
Qualifications:
- College Degree preferred
- Experience in Outdoor Recreation and Customer Service
- Flexible mindset and the skills to work in other ranch areas as needed.
- Strong rafting knowledge including navigation, safety, communication, emergency situations and narration of the tour
- Self-motivated - hands on - whatever it takes attitude
- Mature and personable with relaxed nature
- Leads a healthy, drug-free lifestyle
- Be able to work as a team with other ranch staff " Guest service oriented

- Hours are variable, including nights & weekends as well as situational availability; a weekly schedule with specific days off will be established based on the needs of the groups or guests at the ranch.
