Job Description & Requirements
The successful candidate for our Quality Assurance Supervisor will collaborate with Production Supervisors and Manufacturing Engineering to determine systems and strategies for the implementation and management of production process controls. Lead the QA Prevention Team in support of New Product Introduction, Engineering Change Orders and Process / Equipment Capability Analysis.
Duties:
= Supervise the QA Technician Team (Prevention Team) by prioritizing work, assessing skills, and providing development opportunities as a key part of the Quality Organization.
= Manage employee work schedules, time and attendance, employee review and discipline according to HR policies and applicable federal and state laws.
= Provide leadership and ensure effective employee relations within team.
= Determine development needs of employees and coordinate training.
= Coordinate the application of statistical process control throughout the supply chain.
= Develop a culture of meaningful specifications, control limits, and measurement methods that translates through to production operators and assemblers.
= Maintain standards that ensure the accuracy of process controls and their continuous relationship to the Document Control System.
= Ensure measurement equipment calibration and preventative maintenance schedules are being met on time.
= Manage the workload and deadlines for the Inspection Request queue and library.
= Organize and plan New Product Introduction activities to meet the needs of the Project Management schedule.
= Implement a system for managing continuous development of production measurement methods.
= Manage the measurement and data analysis in support of process capability review for current equipment and equipment moves within the plant.
Experience and Education Requirements:
= Associate degree in related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
= Five or more years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
= Three or more years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering.
= Two or more years of supervisory experience.
= Ability to interpret 2D prints an 3D models utilizing current GD&T standards.
= Demonstrated knowledge of process capability, GD&T, gage calibration, statistical process control, CMM and optical measurement.
= Advanced experience with MS Excel and Minitab preferred.
= Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
= Demonstrated leadership capability with cross-function teams.
= Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.
= Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
= Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
