Bike Tech and Department Supervisor

Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company (MountainmanOutdoors.com) is looking for a qualified Bike Tech and Department Supervisor to join our team.  This individual will grow our bike business, develop trails and promote events in our amazing Adirondack mountain community.  Responsibilities include purchasing, merchandising, repairs and overseeing our bike rental and sales business.  This highly energetic individual will become involved in bike trail maintenance and development and promotion of bike related events.  In addition, (s)he will work with our outdoor gear and clothing and cross-country ski departments.

• Maintain and grow bike sales through efficient purchasing, merchandising, inventory management and customer service

• Maintain excellent rental sales, service and rental bike program

• Ability to handle all technical repairs and service of our growing bike fleet 

• Assist with outdoor gear and clothing and cross-country ski and snowshoe sales and rental departments 

• Organize store bike rides, workshops and events

• Highly motivated, enthusiastic and responsible

• Grow positive relationships with vendors, customers and the community 

• Commitment to deliver an outstanding customer experience

• Minimum of 3+ years of successful bike retail sales and technical service experience

• Effective communication skills

• Basic knowledge of outdoor gear, clothing, ski and snowshoe equipment

• Proficient with computers; Microsoft Excel and Point-of-Sale Systems

• Experience with social media marketing
